Laurence Paverd (DBA Plodive Productions) is a citizen of the world, now residing in Hudson, NY. From his humble beginning in college radio and years working in theater as well as touring internationally, Laurence has vast experience from which to lead.

He received an MFA from The Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University, where he studied with Allen Ginsberg, Anne Waldman, Anselm Hollo, Jack Collom, Robert Creeley, Diane di Prima, Amiri Baraka, and others.  Laurence later oversaw the production of daily archival recordings and evening performances as well as for His Holiness the Dalai Lama's first visit to Naropa University, which was founded by Chögyam Trungpa and was the first Buddhist-inspired academic institution to receive United States regional accreditation.

Over the past two decades, he has been a senior-level project lead for a multitude of top-tier corporate Clients. In a similar leadership capacity, he has worked on several UN General Assembly concerts and conferences, the UNAIDS “Uniting for an AIDS-free Generation” benefit in Washington D.C. at The Kennedy Center, and as a line producer for Pope Benedict’s visit to the United States.

Laurence is also committed to many social causes and works diligently for social equality. Towards this end, he was a producer and co-creator of the OBIE award-winning Imagine Festival of Ideas, the largest political arts festival in American history. The Imagine Festival featured over 200 issue-based events in 70 venues across all 5 boroughs of New York City. A highlight of the festival included a 7,000-person symbolic, 5-mile-long unemployment line.
